If you have a 0% introductory or promotional APR balance transfer and also use your Account to make Purchases, you can avoid paying interest if you pay the “Payment to Avoid Purchase Interest” amount shown within the ‘Payment Information’ box on your account statement.

2Spend Categories:
Every quarter, choose your 3% and 2% Spend Categories, and earn 1% on all other purchases. At time of card opening, the card Spend Categories will default to 3% Cash Back on Dining, and 2% at Grocery Stores. Each quarter, you can choose to change your Spend Categories. Superstores and warehouse clubs will only qualify for one (1) point, regardless of merchant category code (MCC). Within 30 days of account opening, you will have a one-time opportunity to change the Spend Category that was initially assigned to the 3% and 2% Reward Tiers at account opening. This change will apply during the first calendar quarter following account opening.

Dining: The Dining Spend Category may include merchants that are primarily sit-down, fine dining and/or fast-food restaurants.

Entertainment: The Entertainment Spend Category may include merchants with their primary business is for recreational and entertainment services including movie theaters, ticket agencies, amusement parks and tourist attractions.

Gas Stations: The Gas Stations Spend Category may include merchants selling automotive gasoline at the pump or inside the station.

Grocery Stores: The Grocery Stores Spend Category may include merchants that offer a full line of groceries including a deli, bakery and meat department. Their primary products include grocery items and include smaller convenience stores and bakeries.

Travel: The Travel Spend Category may include merchants offering the purchase of airline tickets, hotel stays, car rental agencies, train tickets, bus lines, travel agencies, cruise lines along with parking and tolls.
