How to log in to EasyWeb using your temporary password

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to log in for EasyWeb online banking. To start, you’ll need the temporary password you got from TD, either at a branch or over the phone.

Step 1. Log in to EasyWeb

Log in by entering your Username or Access Card number. Then, enter your temporary password in the Password field.

Select the Login button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2. Security setup overview

When you register for EasyWeb, you’ll be asked to set up Two-Step Verification. We use Two-Step Verification for your protection. We’ll send you a one-time security code whenever we need to confirm who you are for online or mobile banking.

Review the security steps, and then select Get started.

Read the Terms of Use for Two-Step Verification, check the “I agree” checkbox and then select Agree at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3. Enter and verify your phone number

Enter the phone number where you’d like your security code to be sent.

(If your phone number is from outside Canada, you’ll need to change the Country Code first.)

You can register up to five different phone numbers, and you can give each one a nickname for easy identification.

Select Continue at the bottom of the screen.

If the phone number is correct, select Confirm.

You can verify your phone number now or later. To do it now, select Verify Number.

(It’s a good idea to verify your phone number now so you’ll know it’s been registered successfully.)

If you’d rather do this later, select No Thanks and skip to Step 4: Enter your email address.

To verify your phone number, you’ll need a security code. Choose whether you’d like us to call you with the code or to send it via text message. (For the purposes of this tutorial, we’ve selected Text me.)

Standard wireless carrier message and data rates and roaming fees may apply.

We will never contact you for this code. Do not reveal it to anyone else.

When you get the text message or call, it will give you a 6-digit security code. Type that code into the Enter Security Code field and select Enter at the bottom of the screen.

You can add more phone numbers here if you wish (up to a total of 5). Otherwise, select Continue.

(It’s a good idea to add more phone numbers now so that you’ll always have access to your online and mobile banking.)

If you would like to, you may include a message to the recipient.

Type your message into the Message (optional) field. To help keep the answer to your security question confidential, never include it in the message field.

Then, at the bottom of the screen, select the Next button.

Step 4. Enter your email address

Enter the email address where you’d like any security alerts to be sent.

Then, select Continue at the bottom of the screen.

If the email address is correct, select Confirm.

Step 5. Review and choose security login options

Review the security login options listed and select the one you prefer.

Then, select Submit at the bottom of the screen.

You’ve now finished your security setup.

Select Continue.

Step 6. Choose your new password

In the Current Password field, type the temporary password you got from TD.

Now, type in your new password.

Your new password must be 8 to 32 characters long, with at least one letter and one number. Strong passwords include both upper and lower-case letters, as well as special characters (such as an exclamation point, question mark or ampersand). Do not use a password that you use anywhere else.

Memorize your password, and don’t share it with anyone.

Confirm your new password.

Select Done.

You’ll now be taken to your Accounts home page.
