Introducing Partial Shares
We've made investing easier for you – you could own your favourite stocks for less than you spend on a cup of coffee. Just pick the stock, decide how much to invest, and start trading. It's that simple.
How partial shares trading works
Watch this video to learn how partial shares can help make expensive stocks and TD exchange traded funds (TD ETFs) more accessible.
Why trade partial shares?
Buying stocks by the dollar not the share price allows you to make every dollar count:
- Flexibility to invest the dollar amount you want
- Access to higher-priced stocks and TD ETFs
- Maximize your investing budget
A fraction of the share for a fraction of the cost
When trading (buying or selling) one or more shares, the commission fee is $9.99.
Any time you trade a partial share (less than one share), you pay a $1.99 commission fee.
With TD Easy TradeTM, we'll give you your first 50 trades for free, whether partial or full.
