Template Maintenance - Find Templates - Field Descriptions and Business Rules

The following tables identify the fields and controls, as well as business rules, of the Template Maintenance - Find Template page.

The page consists of two unique sections:

  1. Search: Allows you to search for the Templates you require.
  2. Results: Displays the Templates that matched your search criteria.

Search

Field/Control Name Type Rules/Values
Company Name Display Only
30 Characters		 Displays the Company Name assigned to the Originator.
Originator ID Display Only
14 Characters		 Displays the Originator ID and Currency (CAD or USD) that the Originator supports.
With Dropdown Allows you to select the field to search. This dropdown contains the following values in the following order:
  • Find All Templates
  • Account Number
  • Amount
  • Frequency
  • Group
  • Name
  • Reference

Note: If you wish to display all Templates then select 'Find All Templates' from the dropdown.
Of Textbox
30 Characters		 Allows you to enter the value you wish to search for.

Note: You don't have to worry about upper and lower case when entering a search value. The search is not case sensitive.

Tip: If you don't know exactly how something was entered (e.g. Jon Smith could be entered as John Smith), you can search for partial matches by Using Wildcards in your search.
Search Button Allows you to perform the search.

Results

Field/Control Name Type Rules/Values
Table Grid This grid displays the results of your Search, sorted alphabetically by Name then Account. Note: The first 100 templates that match your search will be displayed. To access additional templates click the Next button. Note: No records will display until a Search is performed.
Name Display Only
30 Characters		 Displays the payor / payee Name assigned to the Template.
Account Number Display Only
23 Characters		 Displays the Bank, Transit and Account assigned to the Template.

Note: The Account Number will be displayed in the following format:
Bank(4) + Space(1) + Transit (5) + Account Number (12).
Reference Display Only
19 characters		 Displays the Reference number assigned to the Template.
Group Display Only
30 Characters		 Displays the Group assigned to the Template.
Frequency Display Only
25 Characters		 Displays the Frequency assigned to the Template.
Amount Display Only
14 Currency
$99,999,999.99
MAX		 Displays the Amount assigned to the Template.
Rate Display Only
20 Characters		 Displays the Rate assigned to the Template.
Payment Type Display Only
6 Characters		 Displays the Payment Type assigned to the Template.
BUTTONS
Select All Checkbox Allows you to Select/Deselect all Templates on the current page.
Select Checkbox Allows you to Select/Deselect a single Template.
View Details Button Allows you to view the details of the templates selected on the current page.
Modify Details Button

Will only display to users with the right 'Ability to Maintain Payment Templates'

 Allows you to modify the details of the templates selected on the current page.
Delete Button

Will only display to users with the right'Ability to Maintain Payment Templates'

 Allows you to delete the templates selected on the current page.
Back Button Allows you to return to the Template Maintenance page.
Next Link Allows you to move to the next 100 Templates.

Note: This link is only displayed if there is an additional page of Templates.
Previous Link Allows you to move back to the previous 100 Templates.
